Review:

There is something for everyone at Vans. The mini street has smaller boxes/rails with fun tranny and a wooden half bowl. The main street section is sick! There are step-up, bank, and flat rails, plenty of hips, good launching sections and some tranny here and there to help contain all the speed. There is a third “street” area outside but it is kind of a waste- good for fresh air though. They have two half pipes; one 4 foot and one 6 foot. The six has a seven-foot extension with a death box (steel coping) and there is an extension on the extension that’s topped with pool coping! I

f that’s not big enough for you head to the back and you’ll find a full-blown 12 foot vert ramp complete with roll-in and 13 foot extension. Just be careful on this indoor vert, it’s slick. Below the vert ramp Vans built a replica of the Upland Combi Pool. This bowl is big and mean! There is a shallow to drop-in, bit it jacks up to 11 feet quickly and is designed for speed and advanced riding. The pool coping has just been redone, it’s smooth and dreamy. All the sections in the park do not flow together, but they flow well within themselves accommodating every skill level.

Community:

The park is located in the mall and is well staffed. It is perfect place for kids to play while mom and dad shop, catch a movie, or eat in one of the many restaurants at the mall. Locals are usually cool and it is a safe environment. Get to the first few sessions in the morning to avoid the crowds.

NOTE:

The sessions run every two hours starting at 10am – noon. If you want the most for your money get there on time. They will not pro-rate your cost if you come in the middle of a session. If you’re short on equipment you can rent everything you need including a skateboard. There are drink/ snack machines in the store as well as a clothing and pro shop. The rules are strictly enforced and they will throw out anyone who causes problems. Also there is an observation deck up top good for keeping an eye on young ones or simply watching people eat it.
