The girls from GRO (www.girlsriders.org) and Girls Get on Board (http://etniesgirl.com/) put on a nice event last Sunday.
If you have a female skateboarder in your life, get her involved. This is a great organization for women and girls in skateboarding. Not only did they come out to teach but they brought pros, freebies and a whole lot of fun to the Etnies park in Lake Forest. We even saw some moms get on their boards… way to go moms!
Mandy will be doing a proper writeup but I wanted to share the photos from the event and let you know how wonderful the organization seems to be. My daughter will hopefully always be a part of such a fantastic group.

Hey all, just got another heads up from Mandy @ 360… This Sunday there will be a Girl’s skate session and workshop at the Etnies park in Lake Forest.
Details from them:
The Girls Riders Organization is teaming up with etnies Girls Get On Board holding a session and workshop for girls of all ages and skill levels. During the workshop, girls will learn the basics of skating, safety, and some of the history of girls in action sports. No skateboard…no problem. Boards, pads, and helmets will be available for use. Do you already skate? Then come enjoy the session and help teach the next generation. Waivers will need to be signed. Anyone under 18 will need a parent or legal guardian present for registration.
We suggest a $15-20 donation or purchase a shirt. Your support goes a long way. Come out and join the ladies for a day of fun. Leave the sandals at home and we will see you at Evolution on the 16th. For more information contact Courtney at 812 322 5254
I will be there with my daughter, if you come because you found it here look for me. I will be the one in the OCSkateboarding t-shirt (of course).

Sorry for the delay in posting, we have been busy planning our first event!
Twentynine Palms, CA has asked us to provide a skateboard demo and judging of their local skateboard competition! The demo and competition will be held during the city’s 72nd Annual Pioneer Days festival.
The event runs 3 days but we will be there Saturday, October 18th with some of the southland’s finest!
OCSkateboarding will be bringing several skaters to the event, including Apryl Woodcock, Anthony Johnson, 12 yr old Allysha Bergado, 13 yr old Austin Poynter and our very own Mandy Esch!
You can catch the skateboarders from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, and our booth will be setup all day. Stop in and visit us! We will have merchandise from several of our vendors and you can meet some of the skateboarders.
I know it is a long trip for this type of event, but it should turn out to be a fun day trip and besides, doesn’t everybody love a festival?
