Parent Rating: A
Great experience. Perfect for kids of all ages. Skaters are pretty cool and conscious. Clean, safe, and smooth. Features beginner, intermediate and advanced areas, suitable for all levels of skaters. A perfect adventure for the skater family, or parents can watch from the overlooking patio. This place is cool!

Skater Rating: A
All Skateboarders, quad skaters, and rollerblades welcome. From a quad skater/derby girl prospective, this is an absolutely awesome experience! So many transitions, a snake/bank section, and a vertical combi-bowl that is sick! I think I’ve found a new love.

Community:

The skatepark is in a nice area right next to a park, plus there is the beach just down the street so it stays cooler during the summer compared to other parks. Weeknights seem to have the heavier sessions but everyone always has a smile on their faces. Get there first thing in the morning if you want to avoid the crowds. NOTE: We post the rules stated at the skatepark. At many public skateparks you can potentially get away without wearing safety gear but at the risk of getting ticketed by the local authorities, not to mention the risk of personal injury.

Directions:
From the 5 and 55 interchange
5 South
Exit Alicia (right) towards the ocean
Drive about 4 miles
Pass Skate Park Drive
Turn right into the next driveway and you’ve found it.

Review:

This park was built for everyone in mind. There is the street section which seems to have all the “regular” stuff as well as some bigger gaps/drop offs for you more experienced riders. Jim Gray did a great jog of designing this park to get the kids riding vert. You can go from rolling into the mini bowl then progress to dropping into the different size sections of the big bowl. First of all there is the mini peanut shaped bowl. It is around 4′ deep with a square bowl on one side with a round bowl on the other side. There is a nice roll-in in the middle so you can enter the bowl with some speed. The square section can be used as a mini halfpipe too and there are several places to pop out and transfer into the street section. Now the best for last: The Big Bowl. It has sort of a “V” shape with a mellow 6′ and 7′ sections both going in to a 9′ deep end with a big vert wall. There is steel coping throughout the park and everything is poured perfectly smooth with no kinks.
